Cedars Edge Gallery proudly displays the artwork of artist and owner - Barb Torke. Barb is a very accomplished artist in many mediums and her artwork definetely reflects the fun, joyful spirit of the artist. Barb also displays selected artwork of other area artists. The gallery features paintings, custom jewelry, custom clothing, and a very full range of art supplies. In addition, many rewarding classes are offered for the artist just developing their artistic skills. NEW Wednesday’s Out
Nothings better for drawing skills than painting out of doors, or plein aire.
When: Wednesdays at 8:30 beginning May 14 meet at the gallery.
May 14th the Dobies
May 21st Colorado Monument
May 28th I will be at Rifle Falls. Want to paint? Show up.
June 4th Escalante or Dominguez Canyon
June 11 Chapel of the Cross, Frontier Town or other locale.

$20.00 per meeting, or $60.00 for all six. With minimal instruction, i.e. I demo a start, give suggestions and critique on a need-to-know basis. I want to paint. You are welcome to accompany. I am pleased to help. Locations are subject to change due to weather and mosquitoes, (bears and rattlesnakes.) Please call so I know who’s going, at least a day ahead, (or even at 7 the morning of.)
Thursday afternoons 1:30-3:30, six weeks beginning May 15th, and May 22st, skip May 29th , continue June 5th, 12th , 19th, and June 26th. six weeks watercolor and water media. This can include water-soluble oils and acrylics. Working primarily with making a statement and layering to get depth. Hopefully we will be outside, but only if it is comfortable. Cost $89.00 or $15.00 a session.
Friday mornings 10-12 a.m. creative book making. We will be creating a book with collage materials (or other media) from your own story, memoir, recipes, public domain tale, etc, complete with binding and 8-16 pages. A one-of-a-kind hard-bound book will be the final product. Come with a story idea. Many materials included. Eight weeks: May 2nd, skip May 9th, attend May 16th, through June 20th. Because of the continuity of this project most classes need to be included to complete the project, so this is $115.00. (Remember many supplies including book board, paper, glues and other materials, are included.)
Friday afternoons 1:30-3:30 p.m. pastel or oil painting with an emphasis on light and color this session. This was originally the Thursday class. Hope it is not an inconvenience to switch. Beginning May 2nd, skipping the 9th, and continuing from May 16th through June 20th. Cost $109.00 or $15.00 a session, or each four week session $60.00.

- new! painting out on Wednesdays. Instead of meeting at 8:30 we will meet at 2:00 p.m. at the gallery and go to the Dobies on the 14th from two-ish until 5 ish. Unless the meeting is at Rifle Falls and the Monument we will meet for the local classes in the afternoons only. Hope that works for everyone.
- I will be doing a demo on collage for Delta Fine Arts for the May meeting on the twelfth in Delta. I will share ways of creating your own paper, designing a collage book, and various methods of collage. All are welcome.
